Will have a just a day and night before heading to Morocco. Anyone have any good suggestions as to where to stay close to CDG? Thanks
Try the Ibis web site. They usually have reasonable hotels close to the airport. I have not stayed at the one
by CDG, but I have been happy with the other ones I have stayed at. You can find them here: accorhotels.com It looks like you can get a room for less than $100 a night. They also have more expensive hotels in their chains if you want to upgrade to a nicer place. Personally, I have always been satisfied with an Ibis. (Once again, I have not stayed at this particular one) Have a great trip.
Thanks for the info! I'm going to check out the website! :-)
We did the Hilton with points and it was really nice. There was a tram loop to CDG and to the RER station to get into Paris.
I have stayed at the Mercure and Accor (Wellness Center) in Roissy as well as the B and B Hotel. The B and B charges for transportation and does not have a restaurant but does have food machines in the lobby. The Mercure and Accor have restaurants..I prefer the Accor and when I do stay at the Mercure I walk over to the Marriott for dinner. The village of Roissy is
nearby and the Mercure has a park across the street.
Kay, If you have a "generous" travel budget, there's a Sheraton located right in Terminal 2 at CDG, so you can't get much closer than that. If staying there, it's very easy to get into Paris using the RER "B" and Metro. Happy travels!
Thanks for all the great ideas!
The Ibis was the closest in my opinion. Then the Hilton airport. I was at CDG in November and stayed at the Hilton using points, but I noted that the Ibis was about 50 feet closer. Both were easy to get to after passing through passport control.
