Excluding the Sheraton whose rates are more than I would like to pay, I would like to receive a recommendation of hotels that are within easy reach of Terminal 2 and the RER station. Is there a shuttle from any of these hotels to Terminal 2 and the RER station?

Etap is on the airport with a shuttle - - runs about seventy-five bucks a night. The Formule1 next door is probably sixty, but has only a sink in the room - - it shares the same shuttle.

www.accorhotel.com operates all the hotels mentioned above and several other chains that cost more. The shuttles are shared, and efficient. http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/booking/hotels-list.shtml
Check the distances listed to the airport itself, as some hotels on the list are further away and oriented towards the convention centre or other businesses.

'Check the distances listed to the airport itself' The ETAP and F1 are on the airport almost on the under-run for 08L. You can't get much closer - - maybe three miles to the center of T2. The shuttle takes all of five minutes.

As I recall, we got off the RER at the airport, walked a very short distance (few steps?), and were at the Ibis. Next morning we walked out the door, walked a very short distance, and were at the place where we boarded the driverless internal train, which stops at all the terminals. Ibis is clean and functional. I believe we paid 60 euros, but that was four or five years ago. Also, it may have been a prepay nonrefundable rate.

There are several Ibis at the airport. Some are served by the shuttle buses and one is next to terminal 3 and served by the shuttle train. It's a little more than 60 now, about 75 if pre-paid.

There is Hilton and a Novotel on the CDG "train" shuttle. I have stayed at the Hilton a couple of times. No idea what it costs as I used Hilton Honors.
