Hi all, Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Wiechmann fairly recently? It seems to have pretty good reviews on trip advisor and also have seen more than a few references on this forum. People seemed to like it from the searches I've done... So many of the places i've checked are already sold out for my dates, last week of September. Open to other suggestions also. Thanks

We have stayed many times at the Wiechmann...it is not fancy but very clean and it is fairly reasonable for its wonderful location. Has a nice breakfast and a lot of stairs...no elevator.Some rooms are bigger than others and some look down on the Prinsengracht canal.....I do not think it is air conditioned, but will not need it if you are going the last week sepTember. We also love the Hotel Fita which is over by Vondel park closer to the museums than the canals.
