My husband is in Paris for a business meeting. My flight is now okay to go too! But I've emailed every hotel in the Paris 2011 book and they are all booked because of the auto show, etc. We have a hotel for 9/30 & 10/1 but will be on the streets (lovely as they are) on 10/2 & 10/3. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you very much!
Wow,, I just looked up about 5 different places I have stayed at,, and yes, they are all full.. I have always maintained that sept and october are very busy months and this is a perfect example.. I will try and keep digging.
Have you tried websites like www.booking.com? It seems there are several options available there.
Try venere.com.
Thank you all for your help and suggestions.....I'll keep plugging! :)
there is also latebooking.com and lastminute.com,, cannot vouch for them from personal experience though, but, I guess you might be getting desperate. I found a few places that had ONE night open, but never the two in a row. I didn't look at accor.com, a french hotel chain, but I would if I was you. I normally do not like to recommend a chain hotel,, but I think you may be in a bit of a pickle here. Best wishes.
Have you tried searching for a Bed & Breakfast? Do a search on "Chambre d'hotes" in Paris and you'll find tons of them. You can even search by area or arr. if you prefer. Business travelers would probably be less likely to book one of these rooms, so maybe you'll get lucky. If worse comes to worst - have you considered spending the weekend slightly outside of Paris? There are many places within a 30 minute train ride. It beats living on the streets.
Thank you all so much for your wonderful support! I have a backup plan now. The hotel was able to clear the next two days after all. Whew....now, to pack! :)

Vacation in Paris is offering last minute deals. We just used them to rent an apt. in the 7th & loved it!
