We are thinking about a possible trip late March, early April back to Germany. We are considering Frankfurt and Nuremberg as our first two stops. Looking for the type room we will need on this trip is completely new to me and this is where I could use some assistance. Our daughter will be 2 1/2 at the time of the trip and of course has outgrown the cribs we typically got when traveling with her previously. Does anyone have any suggestions for hotels and/or the types of rooms I should be looking for. I understand some hotels have family rooms but I'm not sure those would work for us with a 2 year old. Am I wrong?

Karen, I would ask for a Triple room and indicate that your daughter is 2-1/2 and doesn't need a crib, assuming you don't mind having her in the same room as you.

This past May, my wife, daughter, and I stayed in a triple room at the Hotel Victoria in Nuremburg. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and quite large; it would be perfect for the three of you. The hotel was located on Konigstrasse, just inside the Frauentor (across a busy boulevard from the train station). The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was very nice. I would stay there again.
