We will be spending 3 nights in Menton in late May, meeting some German friends there. Does anyone have any recommendations for moderately priced places to stay? For some reason, our friends are hesitant to suggest somewhere - they might feel that we want to stay somewhere 'fancier' than they do, which isn't the case. But I think it will be up to me to make a choice and there are no recommendations in the RS book. Thank you!!

I think that tripadvisor.com does an excellent job of giving suggestions of all price ranges. This is how I finally decided on where to stay in Nice. You are able to read reviews of each hotel - good and bad - and make your decision. I don't book a place anywhere until I've read up on accommodations with Trip Advisor. That way, you'll feel like you've done your homework. Have a great time! We're hoping to visit Menton on a day trip in April of this year while we stay in Nice.
