I hope everyone here is having a great time planning their trip.
Any suggestions, or recommendations regarding where to stay? We will be there June 18 - 23rd.
Anyone know where to watch the World Cup in Nice?
Thanks.

Hotel Suisse was great. Right on the Med. Spectacular views from our balcony that didn't break the bank. And yes, though we were in Paris during the World Cup - you couldn't miss it if you tried. It was on every tv in every location.

I wouldn't eat breakfast at the hotel though. It was $$$ and way cheaper to eat at a bakery nearby. But you know what is weird, we would grab a GREAT pastry at a bakery and take that to the coffee shop nearby. But nowhere did we find a place with both. It was a two-stop shop every morning. Nothing wrong with it, just unusual and we had to figure that out.
Where to watch the world cup? Anywhere and everywhere:) I'm not exaggerating when I say this: every business will have a TV on with the games. Supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, barber shops, florists, McDonalds, KFC...you name it.
Thanks. I wanted to get in on the fun watching the game.
We stayed at the Hotel Le Royal and had a great view of the Med. Michael's right, the game will be on everywhere, just find a cafe or bar that suits you.
We were in Europe during the world cup last time. It was on everywhere. Just find a bar and it will be on. One night in Venice, the US was playing Italy. We were the only Americans so some British people decided to root for USA so we weren't the only ones. We had a blast.
Hotel Le Royal is very nice and not as expensive as you might think. We were there in early May, however.
I stayed at Hotel Durante last month. It was very nice, with large courtyard and friendly/helpful staff. Breakfast was generous at 10 Eu. TVs were in the rooms, breakfast room, and the entrance area lounge had a large flat-screen. The hotel is very close to the train station in a quiet cul-de-sac.
