Old but carefully maintained, it sits on a quiet sidestreet just a short block from the Gobelins Metro station and the busy commercial strip of Ave. des Gobelins. Up the hill is the modern shopping of Place d'Italie; in the other direction you can walk to the ancient Moufftard restaurant area. Only "tourist" landmark nearby is the Gobelins tapestry factory, still hand-weaving. I like living in a functioning neighbourhood.
