My hubby & I will be in Spain & Portugal the last week of March & first week of April (Holy Week) getting around in a rental car. Will we need to get hotel reservations for every night? Our plans are to drive making a circle from Madrid to Granada (we 'll have reservations there), down the Spanish coast, Sevilla, then Evora & Nazare areas of Portugal, ending up in Salamanca before we go back to Madrid. Also how early do we need to make any/all of our reservations?

Hi Debbie. I'll be in Seville and Granada for Semana Santa (April 1-8). Your post doesn't give exact dates of where you intend on being, but if you're planning on being in Seville, Malaga or Granada during those dates, make reservations NOW. Semana Santa is a big deal in in those cities and people from all over the country and the world come to see it. From what I understand Madrid doesn't celebrate Holy Week like Andalucia. Couldn't tell you about Lisbon though. Enjoy your trip!
