Hotel Relais Bosquet

In 2009, you received free breakfast if you mentioned Rick's book. I will be there in 2012, does anyone know if the hotel still provides a free breakfast if you mention Steve's book?

Does it mention that in the latest guide book? In the Istanbul guide book, it recommended a hotel and said that we would get a discount if we mentioned the guide book. We did when we made our reservations and they asked to see our guide book when we checked in. Good thing we had it.

Steve,
In 2011 they changed the free breakfast to a 10% discount on the room. I don't know what they are doing for 2012. You might want to check Rick's 2012 Paris or France guidebook. Have a wonderful trip!

Steve, You must call the hotel directly and ask for the Rick Steves discount, which is 10% off the cheapest internet rate. They won't do it by email.
Study all the rates before you call to be sure they deduct the 10% from the lowest rate.

Steve Please remember that the RS Paris/France Guide books are written the year before the date on the book. For instance, this year's Paris guide is dated Nov. 29, 2011. I don't know when it was actually written. So your guide was written in 2008. It is well worth your while to get the 2012 Guidebook. For instance, some museums close for lengthy renovations, hotels and restaurants improve or change radically, and new sightseeing options are discovered. I recommend you spend the $20 to get the most up to date information. This is a very small price to pay in proportion the knowledge you will gain and to the cost of your trip! Bobbie

I agree with the post below...definitely get the 2012 version of the guide to find up-to-date info on both hotels and sites. It may be possible that in the 2012 guide this hotel might no longer be a recommended option, or perhaps they are still offering their 2011 discount which is 10% of your stay. In my search for a perfect place to stay, I am finding many hotels in Paris do not include breakfast in the room cost like they do in other larger European cities. So, if you find a place from the guidebook with included breakfast, I'd consider that a good deal. I have seen the price per person run about 12 to 14 euros for most of the hotels in Rick's guidebook.

Just a small reply to one of the comments. We have stayed at Relais Bosquet twice, and each time we were able to get the Rick Steves discount via email. We did not have to call. I think I emailed them directly with the request for the Rick Steves discount, rather than using the booking function.

We just stayed at this hotel in May and loved it. You can email them as they are very responsive via email. They will tell you what the discount is and then you can book online if you want. I think they told me to put something in the comment section when I booked online. They applied the discount on my final bill. It was a great hotel in a great area. In fact my husband wants to go back to Paris in a year or so and says he won't stay anywhere else (loved the Rue Cler area)
