I'm looking for a nice, relatively inexpensive (preferably around $100 USD/night)place for my family (my husband, 6yr old daughter, and myself) to stay for a few days in Provence (late March). We will be renting a car when we arrive in Avignon, so we need to find a place with reasonable parking that is in a good location for exploring Provence by car. I'd also love to find a hotel that has good, affordable restaurants nearby. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Our plan is to stay for a few nights in Provence and then we'll move to a different "home base" along the French Riviera for a few nights. I'm looking for recommendations for the French Riviera, also. Thank you so much!!
For Provence we like the very reasonable Hotel Nevons in Isle-sur-le-Sorgue. It is very convenient to all the Cotes de Rhone and the Luberon Villages with many restaurants nearby. They have their own parking. The Sunday market in Isle is one of the best and most interesting in France. If you go get a room in the newer annex.Rooms are huge, clean, but not fancy. I think the cost is about 70-75 euros.
