Does anyone have a hotel recommendation for Paris.
Modestly priced.....
We all have many hotel recommendations but you'll need to define "modestly priced" and tell us for how many nights.
Four nights between $200-250 a nite.
December 2010
We stayed at Hotel Opera Cadet and just loved it! It's on a quiet side street with very little traffic, and is maybe 50 steps from a Metro station (Cadet, which is on the #7 line I believe). There's a fabulous patisserie across the street that opens at 7 a.m., a yummy fromagerie maybe 5 shops along, and a pasta fast-food place that has yummy & reasonably priced meals. Breakfast was included with our stay, and we were pleased with it. The bedroom and bathroom were both larger than we expected too.
We stayed at the Londres-Eiffel. Walking distance to river, train to Verselles, Tower, Hop on hop off bus, etc.
We stayed at the Best Western La Tour Notre Dame on the Left Bank. It's a couple of blocks from Notre Dame, a block from one Metro station and two from another. Near the Pantheon, Sorbonne. Place is spotless and modestly priced for Paris. Think we spent 122€ a night.
If you’re okay with that rate, then I can personally recommend this excellent boutique style hotel in a former convent close to rue Cler area: http://www.paris-hotel-tulipe.com/rates_english.html
Rates are €125 to €165
