Please share any information or anecdotes you might have on this place. Opinions vary widely. Some love it, some hate it. I have a feeling it is in fact very charming and, dare I say, funky.

Stayed there in 2005 & enjoyed it. Cool 1920's decor throughout. Rooms are clean, quiet & funky in a good way - at least when I was there. Great location in a great city.

That's what I have heard and it sounds like the kind of place I would like -- i.e., it has personality. does anyone know what the immediate area is like?
