This hotel is was in the 2007 RS guidebook but is not in the 2009 book. That makes me nervous about staying there even though the description and info on the website look good. Does anyone have any experience with that hotel or or know why it might have been dropped from the newest book?

Just to let you know, I have travelled all over Europe for the past 25 years and to my knowledge have never stayed in a hotel recommended in an RS guide book, and nothing bad happened.

We just spent three nights in Barcelona at the Catalonia Albinoni, about a block from Placa de Catalunya, and walking distance (easily!) to the Modernista sights in L'Eixample and Las Ramblas. Was about 179 Euros per night, but wonderful! In sort of an elegant state of decay.
