Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Paris France on rue de Turbigo? It's gotten mostly great reviews on Trip Advisor, but I can't find any other reviews elsewhere. This is questionable, as anyone can build up great reviews themselves on Trip Advisor. Thanks!

You can find guest reviews of almost any hotel at booking.com.
Booking.com's reviews are more reliable than Trip Advisor's, because booking.com only accepts reviews from actual guests who have booked rooms through their website. Anyone can post a review on Trip Advisor.

Actually John, there is method to reading the reviews on tripadvisor that can alert you to a possible "plant" review. First and simplest,, look at who is posting the reviews. Posters who have posted mulitple reviews on many other properties are very unlikely to be a plant . Look suspiciously at reviews posted by posters who have only posted once, and its a review on a property. In this case its pretty clear that many of the reviews posted on this hotel are by people who have been on ta for a while and posted on several other places . Not plants.
Also since this hotel is also bookable through Venere and Booking.com they will list reviews on the hotel also. I would assume this hotel is fine based on what I saw and read.It's reviews do not seem suspect atall( not that I read all of them)but I saw enough to reassure me the most recent reviews are quite genuine.
