Found these on-line. The photos, pricing, and TripAdvisor all sound good. Has anyone stayed here before?
The location appears to be halfway between Plaza Puerta del Sol and Palacio Real. How is this location? Thanks

Don't know about the hostal itself, but the area is quite nice, right behind the Royal Theatre and the Sabatini gardens, right across from the Palace. It's actually closer to the Palace than Puerta del Sol. The street that it's on, Arenal, turns into a pedestrian-only street a little farther towards Sol. Head south a couple of blocks, and you're at Plaza Mayor. Because a lot of the area is commercial, it should be relatively quiet at night.
