We are going to be in Amsterdam for 2 nights and are looking for hotel accommodations for 1 room for a family of 4 near the train station. Is that impossible? Someone suggested getting a triple room but we are afraid about being turned away if there's 4 of us. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Alexis. You'll have to look on the website of hotels you're interested in and see if there's a quad option for rooms. You can also try TripAdvisor for hotels with quad rooms; that site also has reviews of the hotels.

On www.iamsterdam.com (an initiative from the local council, tourist office and entrepreneurs for the promotion of Amsterdam) you can find accomodation information and an email facility to ask the Amsterdam Tourist Office for information.
