Hotel near GVA

5 of us are flying from Geneva (only airport available for award tickets)back to the US at 9 AM on July 4 after 2 1/2 weeks in Italy and would like advice on lodging. We'll be arriving via train from Venice, and would like a reasonably-priced hotel close to the airport. Should we leave Venice in the morning to allow a little bit of time to see a few things in Geneva? Any recommendations on a convenient hotel? Thanks!

The train to the airport only takes about ten minutes. Stay near the downtown station, where you arrive from Venice. That way you can see Geneva.
