We have an early departure for the States from CDG, and need any suggestions for a hotel close to the airport for the last night. Thanks!
I have stayed at the Novotel Roissy Wellness several times and it is a quiet and acceptable hotel with shuttle service about every 20 minutes. They also have free computers in the lobby and a restaurant where I have eaten a light meal such as an omlet and salad. I stayed at the Mercure Roissy a couple of weeks ago and it was a similar experience. It is located across the street from a park and just a short walk to a small grocery store. They also offer free shuttle service. I have also stayed at the Marriott next door and it was a good experience. They have food service in their restaurant and also in the bar along with free shuttle service. On the lower end I have stayed at the B & B Hotel. It is very clean however they have no restaurant. They do have vending machines and again it is a short walk to the village. The B & B is about 60E and unless you can get a deal at one of the other hotels it will be the most economical. Try novotel.com for the Novotel and Mercure and they also have many other hotels in
the CDG area.
At CDG we've stayed at (in ascending price order) Hotel Etap, Ibis, Pullman(?), and the Sheraton. All were fine. We have an early flight this summer and will stay at the Ibis again, the one connected to the terminal, not one which connects with a shuttle bus. The only annoyances were the tiny room size if you have a lot of suitcases and they forbid the use of their internet for VOIP (skype) calls . But their buffet breakfast was super.
Thank you all for your very good advice! We had difficulty getting out of Rome, and couldn't find a last minute hotel. This time we will plan ahead and use one of your suggestions -- probably the least expensive we can get! We just need a room to stay in on our last night in France, and do not want to return to Paris City Center! Again, Tank you alll!
