Hotel Mogador in Bayeux France

I am planning to stay at the hotel Mogador in Bayeux when I go there. I requested a reservation through their website and then emailed them a few days later but I have not heard anything in at least two weeks. I had at least expected a confirmation of my reservation but I've gotten nothing. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Chris, I'd suggest giving it a few more days. As I recall, it took me a bit of time to get a confirmed reservation. It's a smaller Hotel so doesn't have the same type of automated reservation facilities as larger properties. Daniel is a wonderful host, so I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay there. The Hotel is in a wonderful location, and there's a great restaurant directly across the plaza. If your budget will allow, you might try Le Pommier for an awesome meal. Happy travels!

Have you tried telephoning the hotel, remembering the 6 hour time difference?

Ok. I'll wait a few more days. It's been a few weeks though. Generally I don't call because international calls are kind of expensive and also I don't speak French (I know Daniel speaks english but it is probably going to be kind of awkward at the beginning!) Thanks!

Chris, As it's been a few weeks, I'd probably send a reminder E-mail. As I recall, Daniel speaks Italian also (if that's an option). If you decide to phone, be sure to start the conversation with Bonjour, parlez vous Anglais? Be sure to note the time difference. Good luck!

You might try using a different email, like hotmail, if you are using yahoo. It has been my experience that the yahoo emails often are considered spam and the recipient hasn't received it at all. This happened to us with our attempt to reserve a B&B in Bayeux.

Agree with Jo. Ran into this same problem last year. The hotel owner's email server was blocking yahoo addresses. Sent one from gmail account and bingo.

We also had issues communicating with our Bayeux hotel using comcast email. Try a gmail address, that worked fine for us.

I've been using Gmail. and I believe they use Gmail (their reservation form is a google doc form). No dice so far. :-(.
