Hotel Leveque vs. Hotel Beaugency

Has anyone stayed at both of these hotels in Paris to know which one is better? I stayed at Beaugency and it is very clean although a little worn, and the staff are very friendly. However, I have never stayed at Leveque and don't know if it would be better.

Thanks for your input!

We like the Beaugency much better, and also the Champ du Mars.

Not sure when you're going, but I'm leaving in 3 weeks and will be staying at both--Beaugency for 3 nights at the beginning and Levesque for one night at the end...can let you know mid-Sept what I thought...

I just was there at the end of July (Hotel Leveque) It has very small rooms, but clean and a little worn. It is right on Rue Cler so you can just walk outside to all the shops. it is also air conditioned and has a very small lift. If you stay there get a room in the front, I did't and wished that I had. The night desk guy is super his name is Dipesh. The other 2 were not as nice. Across the street there are wonderful creps and the waiter Marco is super. I liked it and would stay there again. The only problem I had was that they did not e-mail me back so I had to call to confirm. I told them about it and they said they would check their e-mail.

I have only stayed at the Hotel Leveque on the Rue Cler and it was wonderful. Rooms and breakfast very decent and the location is perfect. Rue Cler is full of little shops to wander through for picnic lunches - stop at the butcher's, the baker's, the vegetable and fruit stand and the chocolatier and you have a meal to enjoy on the Champs des Mars just a short walk away at the foot of the Eifel Tower. We would stay there again. Also easy access to the subway.

We stayed at the Beaugency in the beginning of July and it was fine. Not one of our best, or one of our worst places, though it was nice to have the air conditioning. Breakfast was pretty basic, but we had reserved under a 3 night special that included it with no charge otherwise, not worth the price. Room and bathroom was fine. Would stay there again if needed, but will definitely try another place in Paris as it didn't knock our socks off!

Thanks everyone for your input! I think I will stick with Beaugency since I stayed there for a month last summer with no complaints and Leveque apparently does not have any more to offer.
