They are a great hotel.

We had to call them also. The owners were usually sitting at the desk during the morning and afternoon - employees there during the evening and week-end. They spoke very good English. We requested an email confirmation and received one. We stayed there for 11 days last October and were very happy, it's so convenient to the metro and a wonderful neighborhood.

I've stayed there twice (and would be happy to stay again) and both times I reserved using the form on the website.
