Hotel L'Oustelat Chamonix

Just thought I would put it out there to anyone who is looking to book the hotel. It is a GREAT hotel with amazing service and great outdoor spaces, however, there is currently construction across the street. They started in today at about 8:30 am and not only is the banging loud at times, but they were listening to Michael Jackson. Not what I like to wake up to in beautiful Chamonix. I hate to post something negative about this hotel as the owners are so wonderful. But just thought I would let any traveler know that you may want to look into how long the construction will last.

M., that's unfortunate. We have stayed there as well. I believe the hotel is owned by two sisters (siblings not nuns). It's really a great and clean hotel. It's 2 blocks from the gondola lift to Aiguille du Midi. Easy walk into the wonderful shopping and restaurant area. I hope the disturbance is not too bad.

We liked Hotel L'Aarve- room had balconey overlooking the river and was very quiet. It was just a short walk to ADM. It is possible to walk from train station with luggage-the taxi ride is a real rip-off at 15 euros.
