hotel jeann'd arc

This hotel has gotten good reviews and it looks nice, but I'm wondering about the the proximity to the sights. I know it's by St.Pauls, and on google earth it looks near ntre dame, but can you walk to any museums or the eiffel from there?

The sights are scattered around Paris. A hotel in the sixth or first might be central enough that you could walk everywhere and not use public transportation. I love the Jeanne'D Arc; from there you can walk to the Picasso Museum, the Shoah Museum, Rue des Rosiers (Jewish Quarter), Ile St. Louis, Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter, and Shakespeare & Co. just to name a few. The hotel is also very near a square (place) that has a neighborhood feel and contains several cafes, restaurants, tea houses, and a bridal shop. A great place to sit on a bench and enjoy being Parisian.

Gracie Allen (of George Burns and Gracie Allen) used this comedy line ....

"They laughed at Joan of Arc, but she went ahead and built it anyway."

...nothing to do with the hotel, of course... P.
