Hi, I am looking to book 2 rooms for hotel in wengen for July 17 and checking out on July 21. I emailed Hotel schoenegg and got a proposal for $ 500 per night( I assume it's for 2 rooms) incl breakfast. Is this the going rate there. Can anyone suggest another hotel or is this the best I could get? Thanks

Last week I spent hours looking for a reasonable room for three adults in Wengen. Yikes! Everything was so expensive. We ended up getting a triple room at Hotel Alpenruh Kulm. It is still the most expensive room we have for the entire three week trip through Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Look at Hotel Barren also- the restaurant came highly recommended too.

On a Rick STeves tour we stayed at the Hotel Falken and loved it.Rates seem to range from 127 euros and up, and I think include breakfast( and it is a GREAT breakfast buffet,, very "Swiss")
