We will be traveling from Venice Italy to Salzburg In July. The train that best fits our travel schedule arrives in Salzburg at 4:00 in the morning. Can someone suggest a economy hotel that would allow us to check in at that early hour or any suggestions.

We have stayed at Helga Bankhammer's B&B a few times but it has been about 4 years since our last stay. Her home is also a dairy farm so she is up early and would probably make arrangements for your early check-in. Her B&B is on Moosstrasse, which is a little bit out of town, but on the bus route. If the bus is not running that early you may need to get a taxi. Helga will be able to give you the best advice on this. Her prices are budget minded; much better than in the center of town. We stayed at Hotel Weisse Taube and enjoyed it very much. Would also highly recommend Hotel Goldenen Ente. Their downstairs restaurant was exceptional and we ended up eating there several nights, we liked it so much. Can't speak of the rooms, though.
