Hotel in Porto and Douro Valley, Portugal

Not a hotel, but an absolutely terrific B&B in the Douro valley is the Casa de Casal de Loivos in Pinhao.

Great place to stay in Porto, GuestHouseDouro. Waterfront and the owners Carmen and Joao are fantastic.

I stayed at the the Grande Hotel Do Porto, and recommend it. It's right in the middle of the main pedestrian shopping street, has excellent air conditioning (important for muggy Porto), and the Bolhão metro stop is around the corner.
