Don' bother to call Hotel Sevigne. Recommended by Rick. We have stayed there before. It has a new owner and is closed for several months for remodeling - found out when I tried to make a reservation for the last week in October!

My two favorites are Hotel de Lutece and Hotel des Deux Iles on Ile Saint Louis.

Thanks Colleen, for the update on the Hotel Sevigne. I stayed there before too, and found it comfortable. Hopefully the new owner will do a great job, look forward to news when it's re-opened! Loved staying in the Marais, very handy for sightseeing and a nice neighbourhood.

You are welcome Audrey - they told me it would be closed for October/November/December. I also LOVE the Marais - we ended up renting an apartment on Ile St. Louis this year but am looking forward to seeing the remodel when it is done! We will miss M/M. Mercier!
By the way, I just noticed you are in Ann Arbor.....I was born and raised in Ann Arbor and graduated from UM!!! I sure do miss fall!!!!!!!!

Whoops Audrey - got you confused with the author of the question - I am sure Singapore is most wonderful!

@Colleen - have you been to Singapore? I must confess I hardly know anything about Ann Arbor, except for the university ... Sorry Terry Kathryn, we've gone off-topic!

Have your tried The Villa de Beaumarchais? It is just off the Blvd de Beaumarchais in the Marais and within walking distance of Notre Dame. They have a great breakfast buffet and exceptional service.

Hotel Du Cadran Stayed there for 5 nights and loved it.
Central location, close to the metro, at a lively neighborhood full of food options, market all over the place. Staffs were friendly and helpful, average room size, clean and comfy. http://www.cadranhotel.com/
