I'll be staying in Marseille for 2 nights in October. There are tons of hotels, but all of the nice ones that I've found that aren't run down are 92 euros or more. Can someone suggest a good hotel that isn't too far away from the port or opera?

If you don't get a satisfactory answer on this page, I would do what I have often done.
When I hit town I choose a part I want to be in and walk the street looking at rooms until I find one.
It's time consuming, but I enjoy it. And I can then inspect the room and not be surprised as I might be when I rent in advance.
I once did it in Paris on a Sunday and found a small hotel with a low price and and elevator!
