My wife and I will be in Madrid in May 2011. Can anyone recommend a good clean cheap hotel near the Prado museum?

Hotel Mediodia Prado is 3 blocks away, Reina Sofia Museum is next door, Retiro ( a park) is 4 blocks away and Atocha train station is across street. Atocha metro station is right down the street

Hotel Agumar, just a short walk from Atocha train station and near the Retrio as well...A short walk to the Prado through the park. Good location, reasonable rates.

I stayed at the Hotel Plaza Mayor, which was right off the square and about a 10 minute walk to the Prado. The hotel was VERY nice, and quite reasonably priced. I enjoyed my stay here very much. http://www.h-plazamayor.com/index.english.html
