I've tried the Hotel Continental but it is booked. There are so many choices when I look on line, can anyone help me narrow down to a few? Looking for mid-price range.

You could try booking.com, they have a lot of choices with photos, a map and best of all, reviews from former guests.

I was lucky to get a twin room with toilet at Hostal Campi, just a few meters off Las Ramblas & Placa Catalunya for 60 Euros/ night. Acco in Barcelona seems to be arbitrarily expensive. Go to www.hostalcampi.com & send them an email for reservation. Good luck!
