Hotel in Koln, Germany

Hotel Coellner Hof is a wonderful place, with very reasonable prices (75-80 euro) and one of the best breakfast buffets you will ever have. Breakfast is included in the room price. The decor is beautiful, with old world charm, but with large beds and large bathrooms. It is about a 5-10 min. walk from the train station. We have stayed here twice and both times been more than impressed.

We stayed right across the street from the train station at the Sheraton and had a view from our room of the cathedral.

We're also looking for one night in Koln near train station, and checked Hotel Coellner but it was 54 euros pp.

I think Ibis is built into the train station and that is where we stayed for 1 night. We did not pre-book, we stayed too long in ROthenburg and made it in late at night in the pouring rain in Koln. It was way expensive, maybe 150 euros and the room was simple, plain. We stayed there for the convenience of not having to walk around looking for hotel rooms late at night in the rain.
