Hi! So my aunt will be traveling to Paris for a week over Christmas this year. She's joining a friend who already made reservations for a hotel on the rue de Patay. I don't know if the friend's hotel is full, or too pricey for my aunt, but she asked me (as a fan of, and frequent traveler to, Paris) if I knew any hotels in the area. I don't. I always stay way across town, by Trocadero. I've been to Parc Bercy, but am otherwise a little clueless about the 13th. So.... anyone here know of a clean, not-too-expensive hotel near rue de Patay that they could recommend? My aunt has no "restrictions" that I know about, is fun-loving, intrepid, adventurous, and a real "through the back door" kind of traveler. Two years ago she was in Paris for a week with her son and my mother, and they got an apartment. I think this time she just wants a clean, safe, hotel room - will probably share with her son. Thanks in advance!

Hi Kira, I don't know if the 12th will work, but our family stayed at the Hotel Du Printemps (http://hotel-paris-printemps.com/) last year. Small rooms, but a wonderful staff and within a few blocks of the Nation metro and RER stations. It was a good value for us.
