Hotel help

I am anticipating needing to tip help in the hotels in Spain but don't know what is customary there. I expect at times to be helped by doormen, bellmen, concierge and, of course, the room maids. I would appreciate guidance from experienced travelers to Spain. Thank you so much!

Unless you're going to a VERY expensive hotel, don't expect that much help. Most places don't have door/bellmen or concierges, and the maids will most probably not speak English.

But that doesn't answer the base question of tipping. Personally I continue to tip about the same level as I do in the US for service personal. Maybe 2E for three bags instead of $5 US. A Euro a day for the maid is fine. I prefer to give it to her in person. I doubt if I would tip a concierge unless they did something very special.
