I have reviewed the hotel discounts from the Swiss Pass. If I order a pass, do I get a promotion code that allows me to try to get the discount online, or do I have to e-mail them and tell them I have a pass and they will give me a room at the discounted rate, if rooms are available for the time I plan to stay?

Robert, i did not book my hotels with the swiss pass, since i did not find the discounts that great. i think you can find better rates and places to stay, by researching hotels, b and b or hostels online. check rick steves switzerland for good places to stay. i also look at the graffiti wall and tripadvisor for reviews and suggestions on hotels etc. Good luck!
