Hotel des Jardins du Luxembourg in Paris

Hotel des Jardins du Luxembourg in Paris is recommended by Frommer's and has several glowing reviews on Trip Advisor, but the last review on TA was in July 2007. When I tried to book at the hotel website, the booking form did not work. I then e-mailed them, and they did not reply. However, I was able to book it at venere.com for the same price shown on the hotel website. Now I am worried that there is something wrong with the hotel and considering changing to another hotel. Has anyone stayed there recently or know if this is still a good hotel?

If venere has confirmed your booking you should be there...(and I wouldn't give up if I were you). Do not hesitate to keep trying to correspond with the hotel to confirm that they have a record of your reservation. They will eventually respond.
