Hotel de Turenne in Paris, Rue Cler

My husband and I are taking our two daughters, ages 10 and 14, to Paris Dec. 25-30. We found it nearly impossible to find an affordable hotel where the four of us could share a room, but the Hotel de Turenne offered us two adjoining rooms. The price is almost too good to be true. I found one comment on this board saying that it was a good hotel. I would love to hear from others. Is there a Metro stop nearby? (What hotels call "nearby" is not always close at all!) Thanks! Nancy

I've stayed there 5 or 6 times over the last 20 yrs. It's very basic & about every other trip I try a different hotel always looking for the best room at the best price. I keep going back to this hotel. I like it because it's a very short distance to the metro - less than a block. The Ecole Militaire metro has several exits so you want to use the one that lets you out closest. It's also about 5 min from a great Eiffel Tower view & 5 min (or less) from Les Invalides & the Rodin Musee. There are lots of good places to eat in the area. I think the location is great.
