Does anyone know the name of any hotel "chains" in Germany...around the Munich area?

Just curious, but why must you stay in a "chain" hotel? Some of the best parts of our trip were staying in unique family-run hotels. They were less expensive than some of the chain hotels, too. Just a thought. :-)

I can vouch for Motel One as a good, inexpensive chain on a par with La Quinta here in the States.
