Has anyone ever stayed here or at least in the 8th District in Paris? We have been told it is near two convenient subway stations and has some nice resturants in the area also, as well as a beautiful park for taking a picnic. Really wondering about the hotel itself....and if any one knows the best way to get there from the airport. Thanks!
If you would like some background information on Hotel Cervantes, tripadvisor.com has 196 reviews of that hotel, booking.com 163 reviews.
Thanks - saw that as part of our research, was kind of hoping someone on this post could comment. Trip Advisor is always a good source though! Thanks
Sheryl: The hotel looks pretty nice on its website, though a bit on the expensive side in my estimation. Is it part of an Air Canada package? If you want names of cheaper but perfectly OK hotels, PM me. To get to the Cervantes, since this is your first trip to Paris, take the RER from CDG to Gare du Nord and then take a taxi from there to the hotel. Air Canada arrives in the early a.m. so a cab should not be too expensive. Your hotel probably will likely not have your room ready until noon, so you can leave your luggage there and inspect the neighbourhood, have a coffee & croissant and rejoice at being in Paris.
