Hotel Bellevue vs Eiger Guesthouse?

I had a fantastic stay at the Guesthouse last year. The rooms were all recently remodeled, spotlessly clean, and had super-fast free wifi. The restaurant food was also fantastic. The bar has a lot of "atmosphere" as it's a popular hang-out for the locals

They both are well-regarded, but one may suit your taste better than the other. Eiger Guesthouse is very close to the train station, so convenient. Has a great reputation for friendliness. Hotel Bellevue is more upscale, located higher in the village on the upper road, quite far from the train station. This means it has excellent views, and is quieter. They are known for their high quality, gourmet fare. We have eaten dinner there several times, and I can confirm that the food is excellent. We have not stayed at either one (we stay at Chalet Fontana to save money on this part of our Swiss visits). I would happily send my friends to Hotel Bellevue if the rooms were priced the same as Eiger Guesthouse. but if the Eiger price is lower, I would hallpily send my value-minded friends there. Really, and you can't go wrong with either one.
