Hotel Beaugency

Has anyone ever stayed at this hotel in Paris? I booked it via orbitz, but just read two reviews on Trip Advisor that claimed they had bed bugs as of 2010. I'm a little worried now and dont know if I should try to change my reservation. Help! If you think the hotel might be okay and have stayed there with no problems, do you have any suggestions on any certain rooms to request? I know some people say request a room near the front of some hotels, just looking for any suggestions on this hotel. Thanks :)

I have stayed at Hotel Beaugency at a dozen times since the spring of 2006, including April 2011 and will stay there again in October or December of this year, if I decide to travel in Europe then. I have never encountered bed bugs there or and other kinds of problem. AS Rick Steves's guide say "this is a great value, quite street, near Rue Cler, small rooms, and Rick Steves's discount." The rooms are a bit small by American standards but I don't find then uncomfortably. I travel alone and always make my reservations direct with the hotel so the they put me in a front. The one time they put me in a room along the hallway, it was a bit larger. All rooms have a private bathroom and a clean. the breakfast buffet doesn't have a very big ion but it is never included in the room rate so I go elsewhere. Rue Cler and the surrounding streets are with restaurants and cafes. I think you would like this hotel. It is so ideally located; about five blocks from the Eiffiel Tower, two blocks from a Post Office, three blocks from a Metro Station on one of the best routes in Paris 9because it offers easy connections to almost anywhere you want to go), five metro stops from the loading point (behind the opera house) for the bus directly to CDG Airport, and nearby shopping although somewhat limited. Have a trip. I am sure you won't be disappointed.
