I have been trying to figure out where to spend 3 nights in Wengen in May. Most hotels are closed in May. Hotel Baren is open during May and has got decent reviews on tripadvisor. Does anyone here has personal opinion on this hotel? Or about other options?

Haven't stayed at the Baron but we did stay at the Hotel Eiger in Wengen.
Wengen is our favorite place in Switzerland!

Thanks Paul. I did check with Hotel Eiger as that was first on my list. Here is what I got from them:
"Good morning
Thank you very much for your request. We are very sorry but our hotel will be closed in April for ever. "
Not sure if it's closed during months of April - May for really for ever.
Judging from the web site (and I admit my German is quite poor) they meant forever. Looks like they are renovating the property into apartments, which are for sale.
