I got a good deal at the Hotel Asterisk for early January. Anyone have any experience with the place? I'm not very demanding - I just want it to be clean, safe and not too far out of the way.

My memories are that it's very safe. It's clean but when I was last there some of the furnishings were a little in need of replacement. It's a little way from the main tourist sites but by no means too far to walk without getting tired. Some rooms have bathroom and shower, some rooms share that facility. I've never slept there but my youngest son and a previous girlfriend did a few years ago and I visited him when he was there. I thought the staff were very helpful.
