I made travel reservations for a standard double at Hotel Amadeus in Sevilla. It appears I got the last standard and after reading some reviews, it seems that those rooms are dark, dirty and noisy. Has anyone stayed in a single room at this hotel and if so what was your experience? Didn't realize my trip coincided with the start of Holy Week. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Sorry - I cannot answer your specific question as I have not stayed there. But, I do know the hotel generally gets good reviews and it is in an excellent location. Any place in this part of Barrio Santa Cruz will be noisy and possibly more so during Semana Santa. I suspect you will have great difficulty finding somewhere else at this stage. If it were me, I would stick with it, but that is of course your choice. Hopefully others who have stayed there, especially at that time, may help.
