Hotel Alternatives in Madrid (travel w/childrens) HELP

Hello! We are traveling with our 2 children(4 anos and 18 months) in November. We would love to stay in a hotel with a kitchenette and can not find any that takes children HELP! Also, what about Apartment Rentals? We were on Le Tengo website and saw a list of apartments. Feel funny giving money I have read a lot about Americans getting taken and not being allowed to actually stay in the apartments..apartments not being represented accurately. PLEASE HELP. We will be in Madrid to visit our eldest daughter studying a semester in Madrid and we will spend 1.5 weeks at paradors along Andalusia and our last 4 days again in Madrid.

We stayed in an apartment owned by the people who own Hotel Plaza Mayor. It has one bedroom and a sofa sleeper, which our travel companions said was very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a washing machine. It's clean and well-located, and the building has an elevator. I'm remembering a price of 100 euros/night in high season. Don't know if they take children, but it's worth checking. Go to the hotel website, and you can find the apartment information. I share your trepidation about giving money out in advance. When renting a vacation apartment, I prefer dealing with commercial operations because they usually take credit cards, and you know they're on the up and up.

Check the site madridman.com...excellent source for information you seek. Some rental apartments are listed there. I stayed in Pricessa Apartment in the spring and it was as advertized on Bookassist.com
