It was recently recommended to us to bring a Napa wine for our hotel staff on our upcoming trip to Paris. We're not staying at a B&B, it is a hotel.
Has anyone ever done this? Good idea?

The thought is nice but I wouldn't bother. If you were planning to do carry on only, which I recommend, you wouldn't be able to.

I wouldn't think to bring a gift for hotel staff in Paris any more than I would for a hotel staff in Chicago. It's not necessary or expected.

No, you should not bring gifts to a hotel. There is no reason to do this.
