My husband and I will be going to Munich in a few months, we were planning to stay at Meininger City Hostel as it is recommended by Lonely Planet. However the location is a little far from the main train station after reading the reviews on hostelWorld.
A few people recommended Wombat, Euro Youth, 4 You Munchen, Easy Palace. Has anyone stayed at these hostels? What were your experiences with them?
Thanks for your tip! That was why we chose Meininger in the first place, as it is less noisy compare to other hostels, but since we have an early train to catch from the main station, my husband prefers something closer. But we will definitely check out Jaeger, thanks again.
EDIT: I just checked Jaeger, location is good, but do they offer room with 2 beds?

You might also have a look at some of the budget Hotels listed in Rick's book (if you have a copy available), as the price is often not that much different than a Hostel. I've stayed at the Hotel Uhland on past visits to Munich, and would certainly recommend it (their breakfasts are awesome!). I find it an easy walk to the main station from there (about 15 minutes, depending on how fast you walk).
