Does any one have a good hostel recommendation for Lisbon and Porto?

Carrie, You might have a look at the HI Hostels website, as they appear to have properties in both locations. I've found that as they're a chain, the standards and facilities are fairly consistent from one place to another. Having an HI membership provides discounted prices and preferred booking. I always renew my membership each year, as I stay in Hostels on occasion even though I'm somewhat "older". I tend to prefer budget hotels most of the time. They sometimes host student groups, but I don't find that to be a problem. Happy travels!
