Can anyone recommend a good hostel in a safe area of Dusseldorf for two young ladies traveling alone? Thanks!

April, Around the train station are a good number of small hotels, which I've seen. When in Düsseldorf am Rhein I've always stayed at the hostel (HI) across the Rhine in the Oberkassel area, but that's not as easily accessible as it was when the bus stopped across the street from the hostel. It's at Düsseldorfer Strasse 1. You take the U-Bahn there now across from the train station. I found the hostel in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel a bit isolated...safe but isolated. Oberkassel is a nice residential neigbhorhood. A hotel I would recommend is Hotel Bismarck on Bismarckstrasse 97. The telephone no. is: 0211/ 16 09 860. Very reasonable prices, considering that Düsseldorf is expensive relative to other cities in Germany. It's only a couple of mins. from the station. I myself haven't stayed there but have checked it out as the next place in lieu of the hostel...it's good. And it's so close to the Hauptbahnhof.
