Hostel in Cochem

Has any one stayed here? My husband and I are planning on going to Cochem in the first week of Sep and we are taking our 2 year-old. Is the hostel in Cochem a good option for accomodations?

It's a very nice (recent remodel) hostel near the Moselbad waterpark. I would advise against staying there however as it's quite far from Cochem's attractive old town, across the river and way downstream. A car doesn 't improve things, as it's a bit of a hassle to find parking if you're driving into Cochem. Here are some other budget options:

Haus Andreas is right in town:

Zum Fröhlichen Weinberg is in town up a steep street:

I like Frau Hilken's B&B - just downhill from the Weinberg place at 20 Löhrstrasse. Figure about 20 Euros per person. Excellent breakfast, nice elderly lady who speaks good German (not much English - but she says she manages with travelers from all over the world somehow!) I usually show up around noon and have always been able get one of her 3 rooms.
